The Procore cloud-based construction management software solution allows companies to streamline their project documentation and communication, resulting in both greater accountability and efficiency. This SaaS solution is available on a monthly subscription fee basis. The project management tools available in the Procore solution include bidding, budgeting, contract and change, daily log, dashboard, directory, document management, drawing management, email tracking, meeting minutes, photos, punch list, reporting, RFIs, Sage 300 CRE connector, scheduling integration, submittals, timecard, and transmittals. Pros
Users like being able to access project management information from anywhere, anytime, with unlimited data storage. It appears to be very easy to use, and many note that the company is constantly making improvements and updates to keep pace with the changing industry, including creating specifics tabs/apps to meet unique needs until they roll out a system-wide enhancement. Users also find that the bid tracking and directory tools save them substantial amounts of time, as does the punch list feature. It’s the real-time interface between office and site in terms of updating information that seems to be the clincher for many users.
Cons
Several users have wish-lists for integration of Procore with such software as Bluebeam, QuickBooks, other accounting software packages, scheduling software, and that the Sage ERP integration still needs work as the SOV line items get jumbled in the transfer. Others have noted that the reporting capabilities need to be further developed to be more fully customizable and robust. Some have noted that the meeting minutes tool quickly becomes cumbersome. A few users have noted that there are too many layers to be clicked through before an approved item can be sent. Other users have noted that increased flexibility in customizing would be appreciated, especially to reduce long drop-down lists that must be scrolled through to find the option sought. Still others wish there were greater customization at the project level, especially around layout, rather than just one option. The ability to copy folders of standard items into other jobs would also be useful for many users. A number of users also
Users are generally very satisfied with the Procore construction management software solution. Although there are many items that could use improvement, nearly every user seems confident that the company is heading in the right direction, listening to user feedback and making the needed enhancements as quickly as they can. That in and of itself makes Procore a solid candidate for closer examination.
